Sorry, registration has ended.

Sunday 5th April Island SUP will join Social SUP on their ‘Paddle and Plod’ event for Mind. This is a social paddle, paddlers paddle at their own risk with support from Island SUP. Appropriate clothing, waist leashes and PFD’s are required. This event also requires a minimum level of paddling ability. Event information from Social SUP: Paddle from Symonds Yat to Redbrook and then a plod back to collect our cars. It’s ok you won’t need to hike your kit back - all paddling kit can be left at my place in Redbrook a short walk from the river. If anyone wants to leave hiking stuff at mine before the paddle drop me a message and we can arrange that. The paddle: Roughly 14km - approx 3hrs (quicker if the river is high) We will get in below the rapids, Buoyancy aid and Waist leash are advised. The plod: Roughly 16km - approx 4hrs We will take the Offas Dyke Path - Redbrook to Monmouth and then take the Peregrine Path from Monmouth to Symonds Yat. Hiking footwear advised. Bring a packed lunch and money for parking and refreshments. Start time is the meeting time at Symonds Yat ideally on water before 09:00 (I’ll post meeting point postcode in comments) End time is an approximate to include getting off the water and changing at Redbrook for the hike. This is a social outing - individuals are responsible for themselves. No charge for the event but I will be carrying a donation money tin on all planned paddles in 2020 and ask paddlers to donate a minimum of £1 - all donations will be going to MIND If you have any questions about this event please contact us.
